(If you haven’t already watched Xena the Warrior Princess, watch it online on Netflix. You’ll be glad you did!)
In no particular order:
1. Being tough and fighting like a man can look sexy and feminine! Go figure!
2. The most important thing in the world is FRIENDSHIP. (Like the one Xena and Gabrielle have.)
3. Treat challenges that come up as opportunities. One can creatively get out of any challenge! Xena does it all the time.
4. Bad men (like Ares) and women (like Livia or old Xena) can reform. So always give people a chance to do so!
5. It’s a miracle that Jesus’ message of peace and love lives on after all this time even though so many people tried to stop it from spreading. (In the series, the character of Eli portrays the teachings of Jesus.)
6. Revenge isn’t a worthy cause. It’s a poison that only eats you up.
7. Each new time period produces new Gods.
8. Rebellion is crucial when someone is denying your freedom.
9. There is always a hunky new love interest on the horizon, so never despair.
10. It’s good for a woman to know how to physically defend herself.
11. We all have our own Way. They differ but in the end, all end up at the ultimate way: Way of Love.
